It took forever!

Villas-Boas.JPG

After trying out so many coaches, I think Chelsea have finally found a guy who can actually live up to the expectations set for the club. This coach could actually last longer than one year. His success with the last club he coached was immense. The coaches name is Andre Villas-Boas. He and Porto had their best season since when they one the Champions League, there they also ha
d a great, but mean coach: Jose Mourinho. Chelsea has been looking for a good coach for years and they've found him. But before that happened, there have been so many coaches that failed to accomplish the objective of the club.

2010–11 UEFA Europa League - SK Rapid Wien vs F.C. Porto (13).jpgThe man is amazing, he picked up Porto after a disappointing 2009-2010 season, for Porto, for other teams this might be amazing, but Porto should be 1st or at least 2nd place, but no they were 3rd place which is as already mentioned a disappointing performance with coach Jesualdo Ferreira. Top scorer of the club that season was the then new player bought for 3.93 M Euros Radamel Falcao. Next season was amazing even if the last season disappointed because of their performance and their loss of three amazing players: Lucho Gonzalez, Lisandro Lopez, Aly Cissokho. They suffered that, but the next season was outstanding as new coach Villas-Boas who was transferred
from Academica de Coimbra. Villas-Boas won the League of Portugal, Portuguese Cup, the Portuguese Supercup and of course the biggest accomplishment, the Europa League where Falcao also set up a new record.
Falcao became the all-time Top Scorer of a European Competition with 17 goals. It was a great season for Villas-Boas and he became the youngest manager ever to win a european competition, by winning the Europa League at the age of 33. Porto achieved the following record in one year:

  • Second team to go unbeaten through a Portuguese league season, following Benficain 1972/73 and 1977/78
  • Club record for the most matches across all competitions unbeaten (36). This winning streak was begun by the previous coach of Porto, Jesualdo Ferreira. The previous record, 33 matches, was held by José Mourinho.[13]
  • Most wins in Europe in one season by a Portuguese club (14).
  • Most points in a 30-game Portuguese league season (84 points).
  • Most consecutive wins in the Portuguese league (16).
  • Biggest margin over the second placed team in the league (21 points).

Porto also scored an amazing 145 goals in the 2010-2011 season.

                                                        CHELSEA FC HEAD COACH

Chelsea confirmed that Villa-Boas was their new head coach with a three-year contract effective
22 June 2011. Chelsea indirectly payed Porto £13.3 Million compensation via Villas-Boas to activate his release clause and free him of his contract. Villa- Boas wants change up the whole team. Tabloids have already revealed a line-up Villa-Boas might form:

                                                                 P. Chech
                                                                      GK

B. Ivanovic                                 D. Luiz                       J. Terry                   A. Cole
       RB                                          CB                               CB                            LB

                                                                 M. Essien
                                                                      DM
 J. Moutinho                                                                                            L. Modric
      RM                                                                                                           LM

    F.Torres                                                                                                R. Lukaku
         RW                                                 R. Falcao                                        LW
                                                                      ST

This line-up is much better than the current line-up. P. Chech has always been an amazing keeper and was even voted Chelsea's player of the year. The back could use some help, it's ok, but not amazing. A. Cole is completely crazy, but a solid defender, not better or worse. D. Luiz are  not great, but also good because there is the fast, young, talented player (Luiz) and the experienced, tough, old player (Terry, so overall: good duo. Ivanovic is good but not a great player, he's just there, so 11 players are on the field, if their were only ten he wouldn't be in the line-up.

 J. Moutinho is a outstanding player, that might be the best decision Villa-Boas could make. He's a talented midfielder, he's got international experience and he's a safe player on the ball.  M. Essien is a player nobody notices until he's gone, you notice that the rebounded shot from a corner isn't their and the beautiful tackle in midfield is missing, he is a big part of the team. L. Modric is Premier League material, but not Champions League material or anything Chelsea might need to reach the given objective.

F. Torres is a flop, from the moment I saw the headlines:"Torres to Chelsea", I knew he would flop, the reason Chelsea has to keep him in the first line-up is so they can make him look good, so they can sell him without a £30 Million loss. Falcao is the best striker available to buy right now in the world, he hit 73 goals in 85 games overall for Porto and is can head a ball beautifully, so he'd be a great transfer. Lukaku has a good technique, is strong and has know fear, he's a younger version of Drogba. That is exactly what Chelsea needs.

One thing I would admire this line-up for, is they don't have that idiot F. Lampard in there. This surprises me because all coaches that coached him, kissed his ass even though he is a very bad player and has no talent or Technique. That is very important, a coach cannot kiss ass!

I didn't criticize a lot of players, but that's because this "possible" line-up is almost flawless, only almost though.
