Falcao to Atletico Madrid

I  am sorry for not following up on Fabregas, but now a new story has found it's way. With just a bit less than 2 weeks until the transfer window closes Radamel Falcao has just transferred to Atletico Madrid and has been all over the news.
The firepower in Porto's treble success last season is off to Atletico Madrid

Falcao has made the move to A. Madrid for £35 Million plus add-ons for the columbian. The 25-year old transferred with Ruben Micael who went for £4.3 Million. Although was linked with teams like R. Madrid, Chelsea and Inter, he has broken the record for highest transfer fee to a portuguese club with A. Madrid. After what seemed like a horrendous summer do to the departures of De Gea (Manchester United: £18 Million) and Aguero (Manchester City: £38 Million) to England the most wanted striker of Portugal changed it from horrendous to outstanding by signing a 5-year contract with the club.

He got the attention after an outstanding season in which he broke a record for most goals scored in one Europa League/UEFA Cup competition with 18 goals in 16 games. Overall he scored 39 goals in 43 games in the season of 2010/11. Porto had signed him from River Plate in 2009 for a sum believed to be around £5 million, which means they will make a massive profit off the player.

The usual question is if he made the right move? Falcao is an amazing player and is probably making loads of money over there, but if you look at the table of the La Liga from last year you see they were 7th, which means Europa League Play-Offs, stating that Porto has better chances of glory than A. Madrid; so why didn't he at least go to a club which would bring him a step closer to a soccer players dream: Regular Champions League Participant. Even with him they won't get to 3rd place to qualify for thw CL, they didn't make it with Aguero and De Gea either.

Weirdly Falcao did not follow his manager which a lot of players do, so maybe he did not like his old coach Villa-Boas.

Mega Transfer!!!

Arsenal have just signed a gifted player. The player is wanted from Arsenal and Liverpool. The transfer window is starting to heat up with 23 days to go.

Chamberlain is supposed to be a great talent and Liverpool, Arsenal and many more teams have been trying to sign him. Liverpool were rumored to have almost finalized a deal but that was a big lie. Arsenal are the ones who have organized a medical that the  wonderkid from Southampton must pass. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is only 17 and has already been sold for a sum £12 Million.

Chamberlain had already been talking with Wenger after getting permission from Southampton, they failed to agree a contract.
Former Portsmouth player and current coach, Mark Chamberlain, his father, was eager for his son to sign a contract with Arsenal back around the time Chamberlain failed to agree.

The English player did agree on a long-term contract and the deal is expected to be finalized today. The 6-month chase has come to end for Arsenal, but was it worth it? The move is actually not bad, preferably good and Wenger has already been saying the midfielder has "huge potential". So guessing from out side he'll play a lot this season but not everything, so maybe 3/4, surely in 2 years he'll be a player that plays every game possible.
His last season was great with Southampton in League One, he was promoted with the cluband scored 10 goals and setup 9 in 41 games for the Saints.

A story on Neymar is to come in the next week.

Karma has power over soccer!

As you can or could see I have a new segments: "The surprise of the week" and "The hottest player right now". The surprise of the week is the remarkable game USA vs Brazil Women's World Championship.
I think the reason they lost is Karma. That's gotta be it, the reason is listed below and after you read this you will feel the same way, oh and I'll criticize the game too.

Report: This game was not going to be given away by Brazil especially because Germany surprisingly lost to Japan. Brazil has also got the best player of Women's soccer Marta who has won countless awards individually and with a club or the national team including the Golden Boot. USA already lost to Sweden so the atmosphere wasn't great, in other words Brazil was the clear favorite. The only weapons USA had were Wambach and Solo. USA started playing the big role of the game and they scored. The USA don't slump over, but 2 minutes after a header on Brazils crossbar we have that penalty come along after a foul to foul to Marta and a red card to Buehler, so because of a quick slump  they now have to save a penalty and play with 10 men. That's how good Martha really is. Anyway, the best keeper I have seen in a while waits for the ball and saves it, but the referee says that someone walked in too early
which is not complete Bulls**t because I saw the highlights and the referees assistant was right. Sadly,
Marta converts the penalty the second time and it's 1-1.
The game isn't especially exciting anymore and goes into extra-time. Only 2 minutes in Marta scores a goal that was caused by a mistake of the USA. The Brazilians start to build up play until they get into a situation  with four US defenders and 2 Brazilian Strikers, well USA was sleeping as those 2 Brazilians didn't quite take them out, but still managed to get in a weak cross that because Shannon Boxx looked at the assistant Ref (trying to make her aware that the pass to the person who played the ball into the middle was off-side this undecided some say off-side, some not, it is unclear) to me at Marta who then took advantage and scored a goal from a risky position, Solo the keeper clearly had not a chance. We go on to a shot by Wambach which is superbly saved by Andreia.

122 minute 2-2 Wambach!!!

122nd minute, a cross from Rapinoe in not her best game, a mistake by Andreia and a header into the net by Wambach, the officially latest got in World Cup history and I'll tell you why USA got lucky. A couple of minutes before: Brazil was time wasting and at one point when the ball went out of play, Erika lets herself fall with not a person within 3 meters. The game has an intermission of 2 minutes in the last 5 minutes, when at last she is carried off on a stretcher, when she is off the field she unstraps herself, gets off the stretch and runs into the field as if nothing happened, that's when Karma struck!

That little dimwit actually faked an injury and caused her own team to lose in penalties after the penalty of Krieger. Well Brazil deserves be out, but I still want to punch each one in the face.

                                                               Erika, that ****

You can see my rankings on this game to the right of this post!!!

Karma struck!!!
